Introducing Iraq Insurance Forum

This new blog is an offshoot of the blog Iraq Insurance Review. It is dedicated to addressing the practical day to day business of insurance in Iraq. It will focus on issues, to be raised for attention and discussion by insurance practitioners in Iraq, that are of interest to their immediate practical concerns relating to insurance and reinsurance policies and application of concepts.

The idea for this blog came about in the course of a recent telephone conversation with Muhammed Al-Kubaisi who suggested that the blog Iraq Insurance Review would be more effective if it contained articles on explaining new insurance covers with which Iraq's insurance market is not familiar because of the long years of sanctions and isolation form developments in the international market. This would be a task beyond my competence.

I have decided to keep the existing scope of the Review as it is and launch this new blog to cater for existing and emerging practical needs among Iraq's insurance practitioners where they can raise questions and air views and others can contribute to the exposition and discussion.

This blog is therefore intended to be a collective forum for the benefit of all Iraqi insurance practitioners. It is hoped that it will develop through their participation in the form that they deem appropriate.

I should be grateful for comments and suggestions.
